Ahmadinejad in Bushehr to inaugurate dam, petrochemical projects

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, heading a high-ranking delegation, arrived in this southern provincial capital city on Monday.
The Iranian president and his entourage, after arrival at the city's airport, proceeded to Shabankareh region in Dashtestan city to inaugurate Martyr Rais-Ali Delvari dam.
The president and his accompanying delegation were warmly welcomed by provincial officials.
Energy Minister Parviz Fattah is accompanying the president in the Bushehr visit.
After inauguration of the dam, President Ahmadinejad is to leave for the southern port city of Assalouyeh where he is to inaugurate Borzouyeh petrochemical complex and a joint petrochemical project with Venezuela.
The Iran-Venezuela petrochemical project is the world largest aromatic petrochemical complex.
The visiting Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez will attend the inaugural ceremony of the complex.
The petrochemical plant Borzouyeh is designed to produce parazayline, artozayline, benzene, rafinit, heavy aromatics, liquefied gas, heavy and light hydrocarbons and penthane cut.
President Ahmadinejad is also scheduled to visit the South Pars energy region in Assalouyeh to attend the ground breaking ceremony of construction operation for 15th, 16th, 17th, and 18th phases of South Pars gas field.
The signing of documents on bilateral cooperation by the two presidents and formal seen-off ceremony for the visiting Venezuelan president are to take place in the city of Bushehr later today.
