Wasn't sure where to ask this, so I put it here.

Tonight at Bible study a man there gave me a book called THE FINAL QUEST, by Rick Joyner.
As always, I prayed before reading it, and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to me any truth, and also to reveal any falsehoods....
Right away I felt uncomfortable with it. And as he spoke of getting prophetic visions and prophetic impressions while in a trance, I could read no more. It was too much like Edgar Casey, and others.
If anyone has knowledge about this man, the book, etc., please share them, that I may share them with this brother.
Thank you, and God bless you....Roy.

Anytime that a person says that they are going to "redefine Christianity" and that defining is against the teachings of scripture is a big red flag. The "Holy Laughter" movement is against the teachings of scripture as has been noted in several threads here. Rick Joyner is a supporting of this new age movement. The teachings of this movement is "another gospel" and not that which is taught in the Bible.

1 Corinthians 14:37 If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that that things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.

If anyone comes out and says they are a prophet, that God has told them something, or they have a new gospel then let what He has to say stand up to the Word of God...and if it conflicts in any way...then it is not from God.

I am like most fathers.  I, like most, want more for my children than I have.

I am unlike most fathers.  What I would like my children to have more of is crowns to lay at Jesus feet.
