Judge Not
«

I hear a lot of people preaching on "Don't judge lest ye be Judged" in recent years. It is true that we are told this in the Bible. It actually says, "Mat 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. Mat 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again." I certainly hope ... and pray, that I will be able to stand up to that test. I certainly do not want to be judged any more harshly than I already will be. Being the sinner that we all are I am sure that is going to be harshly enough without my purposefully adding anymore to it. Praise God that He has provided us a way to be free from that harsh judgment in the end.
Most of the people that I hear this preaching from are those that are trying to prevent us from teaching about sin. One time after having completed a sermon on sin I was approached by an individual. I was told by this person that I should not judge people that way on sin. The sermon consisted of many different sins so I am not sure which one was being spoken of. The person was pretty adamant and clear though that my telling others that they were sinners was in fact judging them.
Something that most people overlook though in the subject of judging is the Bible also speaks of a "righteous judgment". "Joh 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." This verse is speaking partly on those that judged according to a persons outward appearance but it also tells us to use a righteous judgment.
What is a "righteous judgment" and how and why do we do it. Seeing that none of us are righteous except through the spilled blood of God it is not a judgment of our own or on our own. It is the judgment of the one and only righteous one. Jesus has already provided us with this means of judgment to use in His Holy Word. He gives us what is and what is not sin or evil and we are to judge these things according to His judgment not our own.
Joh 5:30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
We are told to love our neighbor and to love our enemies. If we truly love them as Christ has loved us all then we would be sure to try to save everyone from that horrible death that sin brings to all that have not accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour, those that have rejected Him and refuse to follow after Him, by telling them of sin and His loving, saving grace.

AMEN PASTOR ROGER!
"RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT has indeed already been done by GOD HIMSELF in the precious pages of HIS WORD. This is why many people don't like the Holy Bible and would like to see it banned -
It convicts all of us of our sins.
This is just one reason why FAITH still comes by hearing and hearing by the WORD of GOD. Recognition and conviction of our sin is always one of the first steps of accepting JESUS CHRIST as LORD and SAVIOUR.
We are all in desperate need of forgiveness, Salvation, and rescue from the curse of sin and death. GOD'S WORD tells us about the cure in a most powerful way. JESUS CHRIST, HIS BLOOD, and the CROSS is the only way, the truth, and the life. HE is the LIGHT in a dark world.
Thanks be unto GOD for HIS unspeakable GIFT!, JESUS CHRIST, our Lord and Saviour forever!
Galatians 4:4-6 NASB But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!"
Ephesians 4:4-6 NASB There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.
Philippians 3:8-9 NASB More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish so that I may gain Christ, and may be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith,
Galatians 2:19-21 NASB "For through the Law I died to the Law, so that I might live to God. "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. "I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly."
2 Corinthians 1:20-22 NASB For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us. Now He who establishes us with you in Christ and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge.

The term "High Church" is to indicate a church that sticks to the idea of established worship rituals. It is used quite frequently to refer to the Catholic traditions although it has been used also to refer to others such as the Lutheran Church. In the opposite side "Low Church" is a term that describes a type of worship that does not follow a prescribed order of service, that does not follow certain liturgical patterns, and does not make use of developed ritual, ceremony, or worship accouterments like vestments.
Some people though use these terms in a derogatory manner to indicate a more or less spiritual church.

I never knew church could be so complicated and to think that the man brought down from the roof was lowered down that he could be healed...
Thank you Pastor for explaining it to me...I learn every day

You're most welcome, sister.
Church has become so complicated because man has put his own desires and feelings into it along with his own labels, names and ideas.

Brothers and Sisters,
I read this thread again and wanted to share some thoughts.
Mankind has made a pretty confusing MESS out of brick and mortar churches, denominations, labels, tags, and piles of paper other than the Holy Bible to try to make some sense out of their messes.
As a stark contrast,
The CHURCH WHICH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST is so simple that hosts of little children are eternal members. We need to remember the simple, childlike faith that GOD says that HE loves.
I'm not hinting that we shouldn't study the deeper things of the WORD, rather that we should always put the top priority on
what saves us. The GOOD NEWS of JESUS CHRIST and the CROSS is simple, and a lost world is desperate for this simple message. This reminds me of a statement that Paul made once that has great power:
1 Corinthians 2:1 NASB And when I came to you, brethren, I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness and in fear and in much trembling, and my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.
Brothers and Sisters, Paul was a Bible Scholar and very learned man, but he chose the above words. He's talking about the ultimate power of the GOSPEL OF GOD'S GRACE, the Salvation Message of JESUS CHRIST and the CROSS. It is this simple but powerful message that rescues mankind from the curse of sin and death.
Faith quickens (translates) us into the BODY OF CHRIST, the one and only true church. This is an eternal church that LIVES. It isn't made with brick and mortar, rather with living believers and JESUS CHRIST HIMSELF as the HEAD.
Just think about this fact and let the beauty of it soak in: everything about the REAL CHURCH is ALIVE! It is the BODY OF CHRIST! Some who like to make fun of Christians might say that many Christians are dead and in their graves. ARE THEY? "Absent from the body, present with the LORD." They are alive IN CHRIST! Only the bodies that they temporarily used in this short life are in those graves. This is a beautiful FACT!
If you are lost and reading this, please see the next post.
Love In Christ,
Tom
Psalms 78:4-6 NASB We will not conceal them from their children, But tell to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, And His strength and His wondrous works that He has done. For He established a testimony in Jacob And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers That they should teach them to their children, That the generation to come might know, even the children yet to be born, That they may arise and tell them to their children,

GOOD NEWS!
1:
Romans 3:10 NASB as it is written, "THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE; THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS, THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD; ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS; THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD, THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE."
2:
Romans 3:23 NASB for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
3:
Romans 5:12 NASB Therefore, just as through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men, because all sinned--
4:
Romans 6:23 NASB For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
5:
Romans 1:18 NASB For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,
6:
Romans 3:20 NASB because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.
7:
Romans 3:27 NASB Where then is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith.
8: Romans 5:8-9 NASB But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him.
9:
Romans 2:4 NASB Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?
10:
Romans 3:22 NASB even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction;
11:
Romans 3:28 NASB For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.
12: Romans 10:9 NASB that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
13:
Romans 4:21 NASB and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform.
14:
Romans 4:24 NASB but for our sake also, to whom it will be credited, as those who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead,
15:
Romans 5:1 NASB Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
16: Romans 10:10 NASB for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
17: Romans 10:13 NASB for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."
Thanks be unto GOD for HIS unspeakable GIFT!, JESUS CHRIST, our Lord and Saviour forever!

Don’t you find it ironic that many who practice wickedness and hate the Bible have favorite verses just like those who love the Lord? I can’t count how many times I heard a God hating rebel say “Judge not, that ye be not judged.” or “He who is without sin cast the first stone.” As much as they hate the Bible they sure seem to love their misunderstanding of these two verses.
Yet, God’s Word say the spiritual man judges all things.
1Co 2:15 “But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.”
Also, we will set in judgement of the world and angles. We are to judge matters among ourselves as well.
1Co 6:1 “Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? 2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? 4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church. 5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?”

Until the person knows the Lord...the person will not understand the scriptures but will find what they can use against a christian without any understanding of the verse...Chrstians are thought to be weak and have no voice...to srtay in their churches as long as they do not step on the world's toes...Peter was told not to preach at the gate...yet...he did and was put in jail for it...He was bold enough to call a demon out of a woman and bold enough to die for the cause of Christ...I wonder how many times during his ministry was he told not to judge...He called out the words//"Repemt" and many came to know the Lord...In this age..preaching repentance will find a pastor sued...About 2 yrs ago...a church was sued for counseling with the word of God to a couple who came for food and counseling...Eastern religions are given more cedit and the religion of moralism..to be moral is to be good and good people do not go to helll and good people do not need the gospel...they depend on themselves and are given over to the doctrine of "self"...Many thought a certain denomination would cause many to fall...but in truth it is the religion of self...and so many books have been sold on self help without a word of God in it...and God is replaced by "your higher power"...We have to be bold..and to say the word "repent" is to automatically judge...

Similar to the tactics used by Satan when he tried to tempt Jesus. For that reason, I have never been impressed simply because someone can 'quote' scripture.
