Ahmadinejad underlines importance of expansion of ties between Iran-Oman

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called for expansion and deepening of economic and trade ties between Tehran and Muscat.
In a meeting with Iranian and Omani businessmen here Monday evening, the president said, "There are plenty of opportunities for joint economic cooperation in the region and we should try to use them."
Transportation, industry, energy, engineering, and technical services are among fields of cooperation in which Iran and Oman can make joint investment to develop their economic activities, Ahmadinejad added.
Before president Ahmadinejad's speech, some of Iranian and Omani businessmen presented their viewpoints on commercial and trade affairs and asked for more facilities in this concern.
