Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister in a meeting with Iraqi prime minister advisor here Wednesday stressed restoration of stability and establishment of security in Iraq are our country's top priorities.
Mahdi Mostafavi made the comment in a meeting with Sa'doun Deylami, in which the two sides focused on issues of mutual interest, particularly the Iraqi crisis, and the regional and international issues.
Mostafavi in the meeting reiterated, "Existence of lots of commonalities between the two nations, and the shared will of the two country's high ranking officials for improvement of comprehensive ties have paved the path for a broad and healthy bilateral relation serving the interest of of both nations."
He added, "The broad potentials in both countries should be used for increasing the level of cooperation to unprecedented levels." Our country's Deputy FM announced once again Tehran's full support for restoration of security, and rapid development of Iraq, as top priorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasizing, "The Iranian officials are resolutely determined to strengthen the legal Iraqi government."
During the meeting the Iraqi prime minister advisor, too, pointed out Iran's significant regional status, arguing, "Iraq's relation with Iran is strong, and in the service of both countries' interests." Deylami asked for Tehran's support for the Iraqi government and nation, referred to the countless plots hatched against the Iraqi nation, and requested for Iran's contribution to proximity among followers of various faiths and restoration of stability there, relying on permanent high level consultations.
