Terrorism threats peace, security in int'l community: Official
Tehran, May 3, IRNA

Iran-Confab-CICO
Head of Culture and Islamic Communication Organization (CICO) Mohammad Mohammadi-Araqi said here Wednesday terrorism is a threat to the world peace and security.

Addressing the International Conference on Resistance Culture, Mohammadi said although most of the tragic events are caused by the world arrogance, unfortunately innocent and oppressed people are the victims of them.

He said, " A red line should be drawn between terrorism and resistance, because resistance is a legitimate, lawful, humanitarian reaction against cruelty and invasion, but terrorism is illegitimate, unlawful and a cowardly action."
Referring to the terrorist acts of 9/11, Mohammadi said, " US government declared war against terrorism after September 11, but after several years, we witness the war has not yielded any tangible results."
The official continued, "If terrorism in the West is condemned, terrorism against Islamic world must be condemened too."
International Conference on Resistance Culture started its works here Tuesday and wrapped up on Wednesday evening by issuing a statement.

"Islamic world, victim of terrorism" was the theme of the conference with guests including thinkers from 46 countries.
