It's funny how some think sin should be tolerated in the name of unity...that's not unity, it's compromise. We need to love and accept the sinner but never approve of their sin.
AMEN LIONESS!
There is only one worthy "UNITY" defined in the Bible, and that would be "THE UNITY OF THE SPIRIT". All truly saved Christians have the same SPIRIT living in their hearts, "THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD". In fact, their hearts are "SEALED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD" as a pledge of the promises of GOD and to set that person apart as a possession of JESUS CHRIST. This SEAL can't be broken by any power in the universe. Real Christians may have many differences in this short life, but the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT in their hearts is NOT one of the differences.
Men separate and divide many ways with denominations, tags, labels, and just about every way that man can think of,
BUT those with the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD living in their hearts will be spending eternity together with JESUS CHRIST. All of the man-made divisions will be left behind. Our fellowship here is based on the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, not man-made divisions. It is possible for real Christians of various denominations to have fellowship together.Love In Christ,
Tom
Galatians 2:19-21 NASB "For through the Law I died to the Law, so that I might live to God. "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me. "I do not nullify the grace of God, for if righteousness comes through the Law, then Christ died needlessly."
Ephesians 3:11-13 NASB This was in accordance with the eternal purpose which He carried out in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and confident access through faith in Him. Therefore I ask you not to lose heart at my tribulations on your behalf, for they are your glory.
Romans 4:20-21 NASB yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform.
