Kickin' Up the Dust!

I'm running on, no end in sight,
This road is rough, more dark than light.
I wonder why, oh why it is,
That other's roads seem like a whiz.
And yet this is the one I'm on,
My soul is feeling pushed upon.
Can He hear my cries that echo 'round
Seeking rest, can it be found?
I reach out here, look over there
But noone's near me anywhere.
They cannot feel the pain I'm in,
They have no clue this journey's dim.
"My God, do you not care for me?"
I wonder as I bump a tree.
This can't be all this path will hold
The pain, and countless scars untold.
I need a little glimpse ahead,
To know there's comfort, food, and bed,
And love there waiting just for me,
My Precious Groom I want to see.
With lovelight shining on His face,
"Well done!" He'll say, "You've won the race!"
