A friend of mine, and my work out partner, Jon is the owner and operator for his own business. It is a Window tinting and car stereo place. He has been doing it for the better part of his life (since we was 15.) Anyways, a month or 2 ago, his shop had a “midnight madness sale” if you know what I mean. One people drove a pick-up truck though the front window ,and jacked whatever they could. Car stereo gear, his tools, the computer, and they where out before his security company alerted the Police. Because if this, he nw has steel railing on the outside and bars on the window.
Well, he got a call at 9 yesterday morning. It was a lady, a customer, called to warn him that some people where going to try and knock off his shop again, Saturday night. He asked the cops for extra patrol, but in this little town, you have to either go to Central Baptist or First Baptist and be in the “group” to get the cops to give a care, and on top of that, the cops here aren’t very intelligent.
At first he was going to sleep over, with a shot gun, but then realized that would just be putting himself in unneeded danger. Plus, if he is waiting for them, he can get in trouble for “intent to hart or kill” Plus, what if the lady was calling him to lure him away from the house so they can knock it off? He makes a lot of money from his business, and lives rather comfortably. Or they could just be trying to get him.
So, he isn’t sure what he is going to do. He turned his back on the church (or they turned there back on him, depending on who you ask) so he isn’t a practicing Christian. But he knows I have people praying. So pray for Gods protection, and that this somehow helps him come to the realization that God is here for him. And pray that these guys are brought to justice.
