I have been praying for my dad not to suffer.  He was diagnosed several years ago with prostate cancer, had surgery, and everything seemed fine.  Then, a few years ago, in spite of regular medical treatment, his cancer spread to his bones.  Now, he is in the final stages of cancer and it has spread throughout his body.. spine, ribs, skull, all limbs and pelvis.  He has undergone chemotherapy and continues to receive bone infusions each month to try to prevent breakage of his bones.  He had another bone scan last week, of which we received the results today.  It has continued to spread, and really there isn't much the doctors can do other than pain management.

The doctors don't understand why my dad isn't in excruciating pain considering how wide-spread the cancer is.  The doctors may not understand it, but I know that the Lord has answered my prayers.  He, and He alone, is responsible for my dad being able to tolerate his condition.  He still cooks (loves it), drives, goes shopping, etc.  By the way, he is also 77 years old and had a stroke last year.  Oh, what a mighty God we serve!  All I can do is praise Him for all that He has done.

Your prayers are welcome.
