Lord, may we see in those we meet
The imprint of Your image fair,
And may their special dignity
Grow stronger from our love and care.        D. De Haan

Lord, help me stand upon Your rock of Truth
And never trust myself to sinking sand;
Whenever I am faced with evil powers,
I'll call upon Your strong and mighty hand.         Hess

Whoso offereth praise glorifieth me. Psa. 50:23

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Col. 3:16, 17

Glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. I Cor. 6:20

Ye are a royal priesthood.... that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. I Pet. 2:9

Ye ... as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. I Pet. 2:5

By him ... let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to his name. Heb. 13:15

My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad. O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together. Psa. 34:2, 3

Draw me, we will run after thee. Song 1:4

I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Jer. 31:3

I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love. Hos. 11:4

I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me. John 12:32

Behold the Lamb of God! John 1:36

As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:14, 15

Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. Psa. 73:25

We love him, because he first loved us. I John 4:19

My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away. For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone; the flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land; the fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away. Song 2:10-13

I will raise them up a Prophet from among their Brethren like unto thee. Deut. 18:18

[Moses] stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were afraid. Deut. 5:5

There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. I Tim. 2:5

Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth. Num. 12:3

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Matt. 11:29

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. Phil. 2:5-7

Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; but Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end. Heb. 3:5, 6

So shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. I Thess. 4:17, 18

This is not your rest. Micah 2:10

Here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. Heb. 13:14

Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. John 10:7

The veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom. Matt. 27:51

Christ ... hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God. I Pet. 3:18

The way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing. Heb. 9:8

I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. John 10:9

No man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

Through him we ... have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God. Eph. 2:18, 19

Having ... boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh. Heb. 10:19, 20

We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Rom. 5:1, 2

His word was in mine heart as a burning tire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. Jer. 20:9

Necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel. I Cor. 16, 18

They called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. But Peter and John answered and said unto them.... We cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard. Acts 4:18-20

The love of Christ constraineth us. II Cor. 5:14

I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth . Thou wicked and slothful servant.... thou oughtest ... to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury. Matt. 25-27

Go ... to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee. Mark 5:19

There shall cleave nought of the cursed thing to thine hand. Deut. 13:17

Come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing. II Cor. 6:17

Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul. I Pet. 2:11

Hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Jude 23

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself even as he is pure. I John 3:2, 3

The grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ: who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour. I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins. Isa. 43:1, 11, 25
