Patience

Ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. Heb. 10:36

Meekness

Walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love. Eph. 4:2

Meekness, humility, and love,
Did through thy conduct shine;
Oh may my whole deportment prove
A copy, Lord, of thine.

Temperance

Take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. Luke 21:34

The world employs its various snares,
Of hopes and pleasures, pains and cares,
And chain'd to earth I lie:
When shall my fetter'd powers be free,
And leave these seats of vanity,
And upward learn to fly?

Gravity and Sincerity

In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine showing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity. Titus 2:7

Pure may I be, averse to sin,
Just, holy, merciful, and true;
And let thine image form'd within,
Shine out in all I speak or do.

Watchfulness

Blessed are those servants, whom the Lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them. Luke 12:37

Arm me with jealous care,

And oh, thy servant, Lord, prepare,
A strict account to give.

Help me to watch and pray,

To Show Forth the Praises of God

Ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. 1 Pet. 2:9

Not by your words alone,

How much from him you have received,
How much to him you owe.

To Depart from All Iniquity

But faith approves it well;

Let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works. Heb. 10:24

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Heb. 10:25

Oh let me always find a place,
Within the temples of thy grace;
Till God command my last remove,
To dwell in temples made above!

Concern for the Peace of the Church

Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. 2 Cor. 13:11

Mutual Love

>Walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling savour. Eph. 5:2

Among the saints on earth
Let mutual love be found;
Heirs of the same inheritance,
With mutual blessings crown'd.
