Rejoicing in hope. Rom. 12:12

The hope which is laid up for you in heaven. Col. 1:5

If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. I Cor. 15:19

Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting. Dan 5:27

The LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed. I Sam 2:3

Christ the firstfruits. I Cor. 15:23

Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit. John 12:24

I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them. Jer. 32:9

A new heart ... will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you. Ezek. 36:26

They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. (Or, change strength.) Isa. 40:31

Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. Rom. 12:2

Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil. Exo. 23:2

Know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. James 4:4

What fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? II Cor. 6:14-16

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. The world passeth away, and the lust thereof. but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. I John 2:15, 17

Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening. Psa. 104:23

The Lord taketh my part. Psa. 118:7

The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion. We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright. Psa. 20:1, 2, 5, 7, 8

When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. Isa. 59:19

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. I Cor. 10:13

My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God. Psa. 84:2

O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land where no water is; to see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Psa. 63:1, 2

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Isa. 55:1

The Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. Rev. 22:17

Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. John 4:14

I, even I, am he that comforteth you. Isa. 51:12

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. II Cor. 1:3, 4

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the LORD pitieth them that fear him. For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. Psa. 103:13, 14

As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you. Isa. 66:13
