Make a joyful noise to the Lord...

Sale, Sale, SALE!!!
This is what we hear cries of in December.
Beyond the wants of small children, beyond the wrapping paper and ribbon...
There's a baby in a manger.
"Jesus" he is called, " Son of the Most High "
Born to die for our sins
So simply God gives us this wondrous gift,
So carelessly we turn to clearance racks and sales when we are to celebrate his birth.
He endured ridicule his life through, endured the pain of the cross for our sins, was betrayed by a trusted friend
We could at the very least honor the miracle of his birth.
Shepards lead by an angel to where the baby slept, praising and celebrating.
A king, plotting and decieving.
Three wise men lead by a star, brigning gifts of gold, frankencense, and myrrh.
All early worshippers of our Lord.
Now how do you feel about buying that $700 gaming system for your kids?
Gifts are all well and good, but before you hand over to your children gifts and goodies...
Tell them the story of the Lord and see what they say.
That my friends, is the true meaning of Christmas.
To see the wonder and awe in a childs eyes as they learn of Christ...
Far outweighs any clearance sale.

Crucified
Laid behind the stone
You lived to die, rejected and alone
Like a rose trampled on the ground
You took the fall and thought of me
Above all

Another AMEN Iris!

This is the Old, Old story worthy of remembrance and praise every day of our lives. It's also good to tell our children that our food, clothing, shelter, and other necessities of life are all blessings from GOD. AND, the Greatest GIFT of our LORD and Saviour is HIMSELF, an eternal GIFT.

Thanks be unto GOD for HIS unspeakable GIFT, JESUS CHRIST, our LORD and Saviour forever!

Love In Christ,
Tom

Colossians 2:6-7 NASB  Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude.
