Hello Diane421, welcome to Christians Unite  . I live in Florida, but I lived in Hoboken, N.J. for 31 years. I used to miss it, but not anymore. I can live without the snow. My son, my sister, my niece and my nephew still live in NJ. One of them lives in Hoboken still, that is where my son, niece and nephew were born. My sister is ready to move to a warmer state. I do miss the changing of the seasons, but once a year my husband and I drive through the Smokey Mountains and I really live it. I am looking forward to reading your posts. |

I grew up in Teaneck, NJ, and then lived in Hackensack for 2 years in my own apartment. Now I live in Missouri. We get the change of seasons here...but no ocean to see here. I miss the ocean. The one thing I love here is the church we attend....Calvary Chapel. Everyone is just like family to our family. It is wonderful.

Another one from cold,and snowy Michigan!  You're joking, right?  I don't know which part you're in...but all of my winter came in November and stopped there, with just enough snow left over for me to get a vehicle stuck twice in December. The geese have already returned and the bulbs are coming out and we have moths pestering our windows and the air smells convincingly like Spring... (Another Michigan thing: my family never watches football, but we HAVE to watch the superbowl this year because its in Detroit...and it has the Steelers, from my dad's home-state, so guess what we'll be doing Sunday... ) |

There's Yankees in here?  I've lived my whole life in the south -- minus two years up in Grand Forks, ND. But it wasn't my fault! And thankfully, I have no memories of it!  Seriously though, I've gotten so whiny 'bout cold that I shiver when it gets down to 50F.  ForHisGlory, I have a dear friend in South Africa! |

I agree! I would love to know more about you, ForHisGlory and about Africa. I've never left So. California let alone leaving the country!  (Boy am I sheltered) So please post and educate me!

Ok then... Many people have lived in the same places all their lives. I fully expected to live all my life in my hometown area in the midwest, but the Lord moves me whenever I get too "comfortable" ha.
