1. You've never met any celebrities.
2. "Vacation" means going to Cedar Point.
3. At least 1 member of your family disowns you the week of the Michigan/Michigan State game.
4. Half the change in your pocket is Canadian.....eh!
5. You drive 86 mph on the highway and pass on the right.
6. Your idea of a traffic jam is 40 cars waiting to pass an orange barrel.
7. You know how to play (and pronounce) Euchre.
8. It's easy to get VERNOR'S Ginger Ale, Sanders Hot Fudge sauce, AND Faygo Pop.
9. You know how to pronounce "Mackinac."
10.You've had to switch on the "heat" and the "A/C" in the same day.
11.You bake with SODA and drink a POP.
12.The movie "Escanaba in Da Moonlight" wasn't funny. You consider it a documentary.
13.Your little league game was snowed out.
14.The word "thumb" has geographical, rather than anatomical significance.
15.You show people where you grew up by pointing to a spot on your right hand.
16.Traveling coast-to-coast means driving from Port Huron to Muskegon.
17.You measure distance in minutes.
18.When giving directions, you refer to "A Michigan Left."
19.You know that Kalamazoo not only exists, but isn't that far from Hell.
20.Your year has two seasons: Winter and Construction.
21.Home Depot on any Saturday is busier than toy stores at Christmas.
22.You know when it has rained because of the smell of worms.
23.Owning a Japanese car was a hangin' offense in your hometown.
24.You believe that "down south" means Toledo.
25.YOU ACTUALLY "GET" THESE JOKES AND FORWARD THEM ON TO ALL YOUR MICHIGAN FRIENDS.

ON FIRE FOR THE LORD!

My life has been ordinary and boring . . . I was born in a small desert town in Southern California. Two days after graduating from high school, I packed up my '77 Vega and headed for the bright lights and big city. I eventually settled down in the San Fernando Valley, a suburb of Los Angeles. I lived there with my new husband for about 9 years, then my job relocated to Ventura County. As a result, we moved to Simi Valley California in order to be closer to my job. After living "the good life" for 5 or 6 years, my husband called it "quits" and wanted a divorce. I pulled my tail between my legs and moved to Northern California for a short time then moved again to a small desert town called 29 Palms . . . a very short distance from Palm Springs. I loved it there. I got a job, a house and a new car. I didn't date but I didn't want to. . . . . fast>forward> I met the man I would eventually marry and move back to my hometown and here I am today.
See? Boring!

Hey, Talker Cat, your life sounds pretty interesting to me.
I lived in the same town and went to the same school building (2 blocks long) from K-12. I then went to college only 30 miles away. (in midwest)
Later I met an adventurous mission-minded man, and we are now in southeast Asia. He promised me "never a dull moment"

I was born in Puerto Rico, the 2nd of 7 children, the youngest of the only 2 girls. My dad was a very well to do photographer, but soon decided to move to the US, so when I was 2 years old he moved the family to New Jersey, where I grew up in Frank Sinatra town (Hoboken). I lived there and never left the safety of my 1 square mile little town, where everyone knew everyone. Until my dad sold his business, and his house and moved himself and my mom back to Puerto Rico, I was 31, 3 months after moving my dad passed away, so I went to PR for the first time since I was 2, I stayed with my mom untill she was able to make it on her own then moved back to NJ, after that my first marriage fell apart, I moved to Mass. and raised my children there when my son moved away and went to college, and the oldest of my daughters married and moved to California, I moved to Florida with my 2 younger daughters, I've been here ever since, I met my 2nd husband here and I love it here. I do miss the change of the seasons though. My sister sends me all different color leaves every fall. She knows how much I loved the Autumn up North.
So now you know where I'm from. I consider myself from Pr, NJ, Ma, & Fl. But I am not of this world.

AMEN SISTER MARIA AND SISTER TERRI!!
I give thanks that our travel visas here are short and just temporary. I'm very happy that they expire quickly and we claim our real citizenship in Heaven. We have some work to do for the MASTER while we are here, but this world is not our home.
Love In Christ,
Tom
Philippians 3:18-21 NASB For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ, whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things.
For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ;
who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.
