No Shoes

We had a sign in my house growing up, and I thought I would share it for any who had never seen it.

I WEPT BECAUSE I HAD NO SHOES,
UNTIL I MET A MAN WHO HAD NO FEET.

This has always stayed with me.

I have heard of that saying.  I guess it means
be thankful for what you have and not complain about what you don't
have, yet.  It is like looking at a donut and complaining it has a hole
instead of just enjoying the donut.

I understand the point of the message but I get a funny unrealistic vision of a person without feet which makes me laugh.  Maybe I'm just evil.
