(IsraelNN.com) A Syrian source expressed concern over ongoing IDF military exercises in the Golan Heights, ynet reports.
According to the report, the military maneuvers are resulting in increased tensions in the region, the daily el-Watan newspaper published in Qatar reports.
Adding to the tensions was this week’s surprise visit to the IDF’s 36th battalion, which is stationed in the Golan Heights area, by IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz.
