Two Conflicting Gallup Economy Polls, One Day Apart, Which One Is False?


This is “unusual,” a political USA TODAY/Gallup Poll released October 24, 2006 finds:

    But 55% of Americans rate the economy as only fair or poor, and 54% say it is getting worse.

Conversely, a non-political “economic” USA TODAY/Gallup Poll released October 23, 2006 finds:

    Consumers Poised to Spend Big This Christmas. $907 average predicted outlay is 8% higher than 2005
