I wasn't really sure where to post these photos, but since they are of animals, i thought i would post them here.

Yesterday, my wife, son and I visited the HQ of The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) here in Southern England....While their, for only the second time in my life, i viewed a Woodpecker, a Great Spotted Woodpecker and i managed to get a half decent photo of it...And then, while walking down one of the trails in the woodlands, a small snake slithered across the path in front of us...This was the first snake i have seen in the wild and didn't even know we had snakes in the UK...Hope you like the photos

Hello Brother Joey,

It's great to hear from you. I think that you did a really good job on the pictures. I live near a very large and old wildlife refuge, so we see wild animals often, even in town when water is scarce. We can drive for about 15 minutes and see all kinds of protected wildlife. They don't have much fear of people because there are huge fines for anyone hurting them in any way. As a result, we can drive up close to herds of buffalo and elk and watch them as long as we don't make a lot of noise or scare them. We have many other types of animals, but it takes much more patience to find them and watch them.

I must add that we aren't very fond of snakes, and we have tons of rattlers in our refuge. We just treat them all as poisonous and give them all the room they want. By the way, I had a woodpecker living in my back yard last year. I don't know what kind he was, but he was much smaller than the one you have in the picture.

Thanks very much for sharing these pictures. If I can get my scanner working again, I have some picture that I could share of animals in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge. My son-in-law gave me an old scanner, and I just might be able to get it to work. I do have some pictures of birds, but the quality of my pictures isn't nearly as good as your pictures. I have some pictures of wild turkeys, buffalo, long-horns, elk, deer, and my favorites of young buffalo born on the refuge. I might already have a few scanned. If so, I'll post them. Thanks again.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Galatians 6:9-10 NASB  Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.
