With a most sincereheart I am baffled.  So much so that I couldn't respond 'till now!
  Tongue ROFL!

(ahem, no one seems to be answering my original question--ah yes, sincereheart, I mean, um, as believers, should we be concerned about "retirement" anyway--like at age 65 or whatever...)

Oh yeah! The original intent of the thread... Yes, I believe we should be good stewards of what God has given us until such time that He chooses to call us Home.

As to the original question, absolutely. I think it's wise to prepare for retirement.

So glad to see you enjoyed my humor.  I was getting worried you didn't like it.   Undecided

Yeah I'll say.  I really didn't have any trouble reading that at all.  If I ever go back to school for something I think I will write a paper like that.  hhehehe   Cheesy

What was the original question? something about retirement?

Is everyone done with their silly games now? Are the children outside playing ?

Maybe we can engage in some adult conversation....

Should our focus be on retirement? No. Should we plan as good stewards? Yes

If we are planning on Big Brother on taking care of us, we should think again. I will be shocked if there is a Social Security fund left in the next 20 years. The whole concept of the government stealing your money to redistribute it, was poorly devised to start with.

There is real no security in this present world apart from the Lord Jesus. Our focus and our lifestyle should not revolve around retirement.

However,if the Lord has provided the means of retirement; we should be good stewards of His gifts. If we do not provide funds for the future; the burden will fall on someone else.

Planning, yes! Focus, No!

Hmmm, I'm glad you said "maybe", Psalm119.   Grin

Excellent points,  planning yes, focus no.   thank you.

I wonder if sincereheart's is really a spelling problem(as she clears all the empty wine bottles away from her keyboard in one fell swoop...)

blackeyedpeas,
Write that book! Obviously all would be able to read it!  Wink

Saved-4ever,
It would make for an interesting paper! And since schools say they teach English to teach people how to communicate it would make for an interesting discussion!  Grin

Symphony,
How *hic* did you *hic* know?  Tongue

Psalm 119,
K, I think I'm done for now. And I agree with the "Planning - yes, Focus - no" part.
