In memory of Etty Hillesum. She died at the hands of the Nazis, on November 30 1943. Etty was twenty nine years old.

knowing deep down
in your roots

Where else could you thrive
untamed stubborn witness
still nourished by your communion
with silent martyrs still
insisting salvation remains
in the ability to
see the sky.....
