The ACLU’s New York affiliate the NYCLU, had joined with radical Islamic imam Yassin Aref in demanding that the NSA turn over information on its wiretapping program. Aref is charged by the FBI with laundering money for an informant who was posing as an arms dealer.

Fox News reported that Aref and the ACLU had insisted that the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals turn detailed information on the NSA program over to them, “rule it illegal and toss out evidence gathered from it.”

On Friday, the Appeals Court declined to turn over details of the NSA program to either the defendant or the NYCLU, advising that it would not turn over the government’s information.
