How in the world can I say such a thing as that ?

Well, it is based on Bible prophecies that must happen before...Jesus Christ can come again.

Matthew 24:3   "And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming,(Parousia) and of the end of the world ?"

Matthew 24:27   "For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming (Parousia) of the Son of man be".

Matthew   24:37   "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming (Parousia) of the Son of man be.
24:38   For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
24:39   And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming (Parousia) of the Son of man be".
QUESTION:   If Christ compared His coming to those days in Noah's time.....what happened to those who were not saved on the Ark ?
In other words, one class of people were destroyed, and one class was saved....all happening at the same time, in the same event.
*******************************************************************************************************************

2 Thessalonians  2:1   Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming (Parousia) (Parousia of our Lord Jesus Christ, and [by] our gathering together unto him,
2:2   That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
  2:3   Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2:4   Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
2:5   Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2:6   And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
2:7   For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let], until he be taken out of the way.
2:8   And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming" (Parousia).

Did you notice.......that this Bible verse shows ....that the man of sin was to be revealed...FIRST....before Christ comes again ?

The Mark of the Beast scenerio must also come before Christ returns...as Revelation 14:9-12....14-16 shows.

Sorry NorthStar, I disagree with your opinion.

2 Thessalonians  2:8 And then the lawless one (the antichrist) will be revealed and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of His mouth and bring him to an end by His appearing at His coming.

2 Thessalonians 2:8  tells what Jesus will do, later on at the battle of Armageddon.  Revelation 16:16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.

Lets look at the next verse you didn't post.

2 Thessalonians 2:9 The coming [of the lawless one, the antichrist] is through the activity and working of Satan and will be attended by great power and with all sorts of [pretended] miracles and signs and delusive marvels--[all of them] lying wonders

You notice the "coming"  That shows this is also a future event.  You are right about something though.  No one knows what time, but the Father.  Matthew 24:36 But of that [exact] day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.  Mark 13:32 But of that day or that hour not a [single] person knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

Which is why we are to live, as if He will return at any time. Including today, tommorrow, or next year.

Matt 24:44

Therefore be ye also ready, for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of Man cometh.

             JUST be ready...

Amen DW and Tina,

Just as Jesus can come in a twinkling of an eye this things mentioned in Mat and Thess can also happen in a twinkling of an eye and when they happen there will be many that will not recognize it still until it is to late. Therefore be ready at all times.

What is there to disagree with NorthStar about?  First comes the AntiChrist, then comes Jesus.  One major reason to debunk the so called pre tribulation rapture is because there are already Christians going through a tribulation.  The suffering of Christians in the Sudan is one example.  Christians have also had their tribulations in the past.  When Nero blamed the Christians for burning Rome and had his personal pleasures through Christian sufferings such as using Christians for fire lit lanterns at night, this was indeed a tribulation.  Many American Christians sitting in luxury and not doing too much in the name of Christ such as helping the poor and homeless, but instead pointing fingers and judging, have another thing coming if they think they are going to be raptured and spared some inconveniences.

Migthor, There are also alot of Chrisatians but this isn't  tribulation. The Bible tells us, all Christians will go through persecution.

It doesn't matter when the Rapture happens. What really matters is Christ. For we must keep ourselves ready at all times.  Matthew 24:44 You also must be ready therefore, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not expect Him.  1 Corinthians 15:51-52  51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

As scripture  says...anti-christ must be revealed first....before Christ comes again.
