Some forums have very limited server space, and others have limits on used bandwidth per day. It can get pretty expensive to run a big and busy site like Christians Unite. Most folks don't realize that the forum here represents only a tiny percentage of the daily traffic here. Christians Unite provides dynamic content for thousands of Christian sites around the world and many more thousands of individuals who have email subscriptions to things like devotions. Take a look at the main areas of Christians Unite. It actually represents an entire online community or city for Christians. I did ask them if it was a concern about server space and bandwidth, they told me that it was more like posting....for the sake of posting. Which I would refer to as fellowship or even just being social. they felt it was misleading newer posters of my knowlage base, due to my unusually high post count. Haven't posted much over there lately I stick to PM's and a new post only when neccesary philosophy  |
