Theft of Darwin fish shows fear of science

Editor, the Tribune: This is an open letter to the person who removed the Darwin fish from the back of my green Ford Explorer around noon on March 18 in the Sam’s Club parking lot.
You are a coward, a thief and, I suspect, a Christian.
You are a coward because you did not have the courage to act in my presence, when you feared you would have been challenged.
You are a thief because you knowingly took the property of another without permission.
I suspect you are a Christian because, in my experience, only Christians so fear the Darwin fish and are so threatened by the scientifically valid theory of evolution that it represents that they feel justified in violating one of their own commandments to protect their superstitious beliefs. I refer you to Exodus 20:15 and Deuteronomy 5:19.
I have news for you. First, we live in the United States of America, not the United States of Jerry Falwell. We are free to speak our own minds. I refer you to the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
Second, the Darwin fish you stole has already been replaced. After leaving Sam’s, I bought a replacement and installed it on my Explorer that afternoon.
Last, I will not let Christian fascists such as you deny me my rights.
