At some point, men became dandelions. Tell an off color joke, and you get sent to a class on racial sensitivity. Tell a sexually explicit joke, and you go to a class for gender sensitivity. Raise your voice and you go to anger management class. All of these institutions were created because of extremes, and then became extremes themselves. Men have been declawed and defanged in our society. (Well, some of them, anyway!) It is wrong to be forceful, opinionated or confident nowadays. This is part of the erosion of our culture, brought about by liberal political correctness, insidious social experimentation and engineering, and playing a shell game with the sexes. Women, for the most part, and like it or not, are meant to be nurturing, and men, the protectors. Such are natural human instincts, put in us by God, and for good reason. Now, we have loving, motherly nurturers playing warrior, and confrontational protectors crying to show their "sensitive, feminine, softer side," and we wonder why everything is in turmoil.
Now, our nation is immersed in political correctness, and it extends all the way into our government, and all the way to the top. In Cancun, we have our disgraceful President, G. W. "("Globalist World") Bush apologizing to the Mexican people for the current illegal immigration debate in the Congress. Bush also doesn't mind calling some fine American patriots called the Minutemen, who are doing the job that he refuses to do (but for which he still collects a paycheck from the sweat of our brows) "vigilantes." I have news for you, President Bush, you are a national disgrace, and a spineless bought-and-paid for traitor to your country. You are a weak puppet of your one-world order pals in the UN and your corporate cronies. We no sooner fumigated the Oval Office from the escapades of your evil, treasonous, sociopath predecessor, and now, you are publicly making a mockery of the same room. Those "vigilantes" are better men than you. You are not worthy to wash their cars, shine their shoes, or share their shadows.
In both English and Spanish, "no" is still "no," in pronunciation, spelling and meaning. It is time to say "NO!" Too many good men fought under the American flag, and too many men have been buried under it to be so dishonored now. The American flag is more than just a symbol. It is who we are, and how we got here, and what we stand for. While woven with fabric, it was paid for in blood. The country under that flag is what has defended more liberties, cured more ailments, given more money, and filled more empty stomachs to those in need than any nation on the globe, and in thanks, all we get is continual bashing by the recipient ingrates who turn around and later again call upon us for rescue and respite in their darkest eleventh hour. Then we, like the wet nurse we have become, keep responding without hesitation, lest we be called a dirty name, an unspeakable fate by the slight speed bump, known as "today's standards."
The invaders who entered our country illegally have no desire to be citizens. If they did, they would be citizens already, so forget about the idiotic McCain/Kennedy appeasement bill. Those two will have us deport people in five years that we haven't deported in 20 years. They tell us that these people work jobs at less than minimum wage but expect them to pay fines. It is said that the definition of insanity is to repeat the same action, while anticipating a different result. The guest worker/amnesty farce of 1986 didn't work. Why should we believe it would work now? And unlike in 1986, current proposed legislation provides for checks for criminal backgrounds, but no refusal of amnesty when a criminal record is found. Why? Does anyone really buy all this lunacy? Before we ban the American flag in schools, maybe we should ban mushrooms from the Capitol dining hall, because I suspect a bad batch got in and some of these guys already ate some. Once currently illegal immigrants become citizens, they will then have the legal right to bring their families over, and our economy, transportation, public safety, public health and government services will not be able to sustain everybody. It will be our breaking point and ultimate demise. Even benevolence and charity have limits. Eleven ounces of water cannot fit into a ten-ounce glass, no mater how you wish it so, or how good your intentions may be. Common decency has a limit, and it is called common sense. (Somebody please tell the Catholic Church that in this debate!) In the end, it is time to draw the line and think first and only of country. Vicente Fox thinks only about Mexico, and so does George W. Bush. That leaves the fate of America up to the real Americans.
The men who fought under and were buried under our flag were the same men who not only kept the flag waving, but the Statue Of Liberty in place as well. The same men who died for and under that flag did so not only for Americans, but also for decent and struggling people around the world who wished to become Americans. Our flag stands for us as much as them. Those people have become us. But those people are not the leeches waving the Mexican flag in our streets, and arrogantly demanding that their crimes be made legal and their free and excessive government entitlement perks and benefits maintained and extended. That is not what that flag means, and why better men than the selfish leeches who defy it died to preserve it.
No means no. It is time to say no. Right means right, and wrong means wrong, and not what you feel or want those words to mean. There was a time not all that long ago when right and wrong were not a question. Most people knew the difference. There was no debate. Authority was respected, not "challenged" to quote the radical, liberal bumper sticker. Authority within Constitutional limits meant order and decency, in much the same way that borders give a country form, shape and boundaries for specific reason, just like a football field, to quote another sage Limbaugh analogy. There was a time when we even knew what the definition of "is" was, without a disgraced President trying to define it for us (And under oath, no less!). No explanation was required. People just naturally understood. What happened?
Illegal immigrants are like any other amoral person. They interpret kindness for weakness, and you can never show them weakness. Be weak or even appear to be weak, and you will have the same situation as feeding a feral cat, it never leaves, and even becomes more demanding, more, more, more, all the time, more, nothing is ever enough. No thank you, just more, and that is precisely what we are seeing now. Years and decades of apathy, incompetence, political correct cowardice and weakness have resulted in our current illegal immigration crisis. Demands replace requests, rage replaces discontent, the simmer becomes a boil, and tens of millions replace hundreds of thousands, and keep on coming, while the boiling gets even hotter.
Attention immigrants, here illegally, and those who feel a divided allegiance, take your flags back to your homeland. There is no place for them here. Either you are Americans, or you are not. You cannot assimilate into two countries. Allegiance is determined by a solid commitment to only one country. To my fellow Americans, hoist the American flag, and discipline every one of those little truant cherubs from last week who defied the law and school authority and in partook in anarchy in "The Angels." (How ironic!) If necessary, make a law requiring that the American flag be present in all public buildings, but no other flag. I would be willing to bet that those who think burning the American flag is so nifty would be appalled at the burning of a foreign flag. The only rights illegals have are to a fair trial and basic humane treatment, like any other criminal. The US is only one country, we have only one flag, and only three types of residents: (patriotic) citizens, (legal) guests, and trespassers. To all I say, make a choice, and live by your decision. Citizens are encouraged, guests should never abuse their welcome, and trespassers, OUT! One country, one flag, but first we must go back to basics. That means resurrecting words like "right and wrong," and "no." Nothing fuzzy, all simple, clear and definite. That means offending those who are wrong with that which is right, and not trembling in our boots over it. That requires leadership, perseverance, and guts, from both government and citizenry alike. We must lead before we can prevail and prosper. Until we stand, our flag and our country will only continue to fall. That's all for now. Pardon me if I don't say, "Adios." Until I get the memo that says otherwise, I will continue with the assumption that English is still the language of this land. I don't need to "Press 1 for English." So far, this is still The United States Of America, and may God bless it, and guide those who, by His generous gift of free choice, hold its very precarious fate in their very confused hands.
