Brain abnor. found in liars

Any thoughts on how they could fit into Christianity?  Be saved?

Hmmm ...... another excuse for sin?? "I couldn't help myself, my brain is abnormal." Kinda like the Devil made me do it.

Now I might believe that the brain abnormality is the result of those things and not the other way around.

Soooo...............are you saying that some people could be born with an abnormal amount of "white matter" because of sins of their ancestors?  Or, are you saying, because that person began lying, their brains automatically grew more white matter?  If the latter is the case, then how do they ever lose some of that white stuff to become normal?  This could become an interesting topic!

OK, now I understand, duh!

Yes, God CAN heal any and all ailments, but He doesn't choose to do that, hence, what I said above.  

If you remember, sometime ago a discussion came up about the Calvinist predestination belief.  We both commented that we thought it was an evil belief.  Well, if we're wrong, and Calvin is right, what they found could be a feather in their cap(that is, if they're born with more white brain matter).  I'm not saying this is so, 'cause I don't know.  It just might be possible that there are people who couldn't even imagine a need to be saved.  Personally, I know a few who have no desire whatsoever.  Actually, I know a pathological liar who says they're saved.  That's impossible.............it's contradictory.  The father of lies is the devil, and he has children.  If a person is a pathological liar, God cannot be their father.  So, they actually believe their own lies.  They can even lie about being saved.  God's children are not pathological liars!!!

From my experience of working with children I have seen many that were pathological liars. Some of these came to know the Lord and overcame their problem. Others simply did not show an interest in even trying to overcome it.

The latter of these were the ones that did not know what true love is. They submitted physical desire, if anything, in place of love. These children are the ones that were not taught love and experienced a disassociation type syndrome. In addition to being pathylogical liars and lacking an understanding of love they tend to be con artists to get anything they want.

So, are you saying, since they lack an understanding of love, they can't get saved?  I really don't think they can.  I know God can save them, but they have to want to be saved.  Something stops some people from wanting to be saved.............too much white matter?  Inherited, because of ancestral sin?  Maybe............maybe not, but something is going on, for sure!

PS........Maybe these other children you spoke of first, weren't really diagnosed as pathological liars.  You know better here than I do.

The only difference I saw in the children was some understood love and the others didn't. I think that to understand what Jesus did for us we need to be able to understand love. Otherwise it is a meaningless act.

Do you mean they mimicked the act of getting saved?  If not, I just got lost somewhere.  Hey, if that's what you meant, then that's what I said, wasn't it?

Thanks for your comment.  I agree and disagree.

We use medical science everyday, for colds, diseases, etc.  We use it because we believe God works through these Dr.'s to cure us, correct?  Well, if medical science proves something (I'm not saying they did for sure in this case), we just can't discount it.  I believe God is working through these medical people, also.  Everyone once believed the world was flat.  Science has proven that it isn't.  I guess there are still a group of people who believe it's flat.  I remember hearing this a long time ago.

I would really like some input from a Christian medical scientist.................not secular.  One of these days we'll probably get that info from one of them.

I loved your scripture quotes.  They're right on.  I agree they need to become NEW MEN and BORN AGAIN.  Problem is, they can't if they're reprobate.  God has already cast them aside.  I'm not saying ALL, but some.

I've heard about a person who claims to be born again, but shows no fruit.  It doesn't matter to them about the lack of fruit.  They just discount it, and claim to be saved, yet readily admit they don't understand the bible..............well, duh.  Are they just plain crazy or evil or reprobate or what?  Your guess is as good as mine.

I suspect (just my opinion) that's there IS a genetic component in these things, and it just might be a spiritual genetic component.  If we're born with the stain of original sin, well, then it stands to reason, we can be born with consequences of other things, too.

I thought it was interesting that they found autistic children don't, or can't lie, because they have "more grey matter" than normal.  The opposite is true for pathological liars.  'Tis looking more like the "consequences" of sin is passed on through the descendants.  Not sin itself, but the consequence of sin.  Just thinking out loud.  And, I might add, not a very pretty picture.

I agree with some of what you say, Chris.

But I work in a GP's office myself. Satan can use science too. Look at the theory of evilution. How many people are lead astray on this path?

Some of us do have generics working against us (you just have to see my thighs, they have all the hail-damage my Gran's have!), but with our Lord, nothing is impossible.

I was cured from addiction in this most peculiar manner by Him. So my experience tells me that I can trust Him to save others on which the medical profession gave up.

These are called miracles!

God really is excellent with things that look impossible to the human eyes. Impossible is His middle name, so to say.
