I'm not quite sure how to respond.  We have free will.  If it draws people to God, then, so be it.  As a whole, I think Christians are far too judgmental. It seems as if there will always be disagreements.  God knows the motive in their heart.

BINGO!
It is catering to the "One World Church" theme – which I find disgusting considering it comes from a famous worship center which is supposedly evangelical Christian.

It’s scary…  A “mega” church making a “mega” gaffe.  But… is it a gaffe or an invasion?  Scary…

I'll first have to say that I didn't know what the Crystal Cathedral was. I did read the article, and I find the story to be sickening. Such massive luxury and the spending of so much money to contradict God's Word seems obscene to me. I can't believe that God's children would want a penny of their offerings to be used in this manner. So, I can't understand it at all.

Everything I want or need to know about Creation is in Genesis. I know the CREATOR also, so that's more than enough for me. I was recently called an extremist nut for this belief, but I'll be proud to wear this label.

Love In Christ,
Tom

There are Christians who believe in evolution!!
If you can't believe God's account of creation, then how can you believe any of it?

God's Word is 100% accurate and True.

Scientists who “have all the answers” have shoved evolution down our throats for so many years, that some of us feel as though we must compromise in order to legitimize God.

God doesn't need to be legitimized!

Bluelake,

Go to:

You could also probably just type in your search window, "Crystal Cathedral".

The Crystal Cathedral has always looked too rich in an impoverished world searching for hope. They have always seemed too showbizzy. Physical, not spiritual. Will such bring folks to the gift that Christ gives?

The production from the pictures shown looks very sensuous/worldly and perhaps could take one's spirit where it should not be.

Just give me Christ preached on the hillside.

Compromise!!

An interesting word, but when it comes to the word of God,
and christianity, there can be no compromise!

John 1:1 in the beginning was the word and the word was
with God and the word was God. the same was in the
beginning with God, by him were all things made and without
him was not anything made that was made.

God said it, that settles it. end of discussion

John 3:17 for he came not into the world to condemn the world, but that the world thru him might be saved! Rom 8:1 there is therefore no con-
demnation to those who are in
christ Jesus...

A quote that a good friend of mine uses quite frequently .... God is not in Heaven saying "let's make a deal" He is in heaven saying "THIS IS THE DEAL!!!"

Mat 7:13  Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Mat 7:14  Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Mat 7:15  Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Mat 7:16  Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Mat 7:17  Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Mat 7:18  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Mat 7:19  Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 7:20  Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Mat 7:21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

How on Earth can it be 'compromise'?! The very foundation of scientific study is the belief that we live in an ordered universe that has been created by the Creator. There is absolutely no conflict between Theology and Science. The conflict comes because of the finite limitations of human creatures who struggle to reconcile different facets of the one Infinite Truth (Jn.14:6).

That being said I don't consider Robert Schuller to be a Christian anyway: http://www.apologeticsindex.com./s09.html

There is a big difference between true science and what is considered to be science today.

1Ti 6:20  O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
1Ti 6:21  Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.
