Old TV Shows Remembered

Does anyone remember old TV shows that you watched as kids?

 here's a few I recall.

Rip Chord - A show that, as I recall involved rescues involving parachuting.

Rawhide - A western which followed the events arising out of a cattle drive. This was Clint Eastwood’s first series.

Lost In Space - Most baby boomers will remember the original TV series of the Robinson’s who were ship wrecked on a distant planet. When I got "old", and saw the show in rerun, I was horrified to realise Mr. Smith was gay!

Rat Patrol - Desert warfare

Combat - WWII stuff, starring the late Vic Morrow

My Favourite Martian - About a goofy looking martian and his exchanges with earthlings.

Heck Ramsey - About the first detective in the old west to use modern scientific methods such as finger prints, to solve crimes. Sort of an old west C.S.I, starring Richard Boone.

Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom - One of the very first nature series which often pitted man against beast such as alligator and lion wrestling. It was later cancelled after it was discovered these "wild" encounters were actually staged. I can't recall the chaps name - I believe his last name was Perkins.

Perry Mason - Still one of my favourites. A lawyer who won all but one case, which the prosecution won, headed by Mr. Hamilton Berger "Ham Burger" Starring Canadian, Raymond Burr, as Perry Mason.

 I could go on but I'll pass the torch and give someone else a chance to stump the old folks!

The Patty Duke ShowWhere Patty Duke played both roles of, Cathy and Patty.

McHales Navy Classic slap stick comedy!! Takes place durning World War II, in the Pacific ocean, on PT 73.

Superman Steve Reeves played Superman, durning the 50's.

Get Smart  Another classic comedy, Max Smart is a spy for C.O.N.T.R.O.L., he goes against K.A.O.S.

Mr. Ed a horse that talks to Wilbur.

What did you do for fun before cars?

Cars? Whats a car? now a horse drawn wagon I know.  

I can remember my Dad's first car. A used 1950 Chevy sedan, ugly green. What a car. The day he brought it home he went out and pulled up the old cast iron horse pole. My grandpa still had his model T.

Our first TV was a black and white with a round picture tube. Our electrical wiring wasn't grounded and when an electrical storm hit a lighting bolt came through the house right over my head hit the TV. Man what a firestorm!

It was time for TV number two.
