Hi Maryann!  Welcome to C-Unite.
I invite you to find the answer for yourself (if it is in the Bible.)
Here is a URL:
http://bible.gospelcom.net/cgi-bin/bible?language=english&version=NIV&passage=Search+by+Passage&x=13&y=9
At the top of the page you will find a tool for "search for keyword".  Type in 'eagle' and click [Go].  You will find only 29 verses in the bible with the key word 'eagle' (depending on the Bible version you search).  It won't take you long to read through each verse (you can also choose the Bible translation which is easiest for you to read.)  When you find a verse that comes close to what you think may contain the answer to your question, go to that book in the Bible and read the surrounding scripture (so you aren't taking anyting out of context).

When you find the answer, report back to us, then we will ALL know!  Grin  Grin  Grin

This is what i found in a site after keying in search words
"eagle symbolism"
Orientals, Israelites, and early Christians believed eagles were able to restore their own youth every ten years by flying into the sun and then, after their wings had caught fire, diving three times into the water of the sea or a fountain. David made this eagle legend a symbol of the renewal of those who wait upon the LORD, and early Christians saw it as an analogy of the new life received in baptism (Isa 40:31; Psa 103:5). Unlike the phoenix whose symbolism the eagle shared, the eagle, although renewed, was not believed to be immortal. Even so, this majestic bird became a symbol of Christian immortality and the Resurrection. For the sake of humankind, the Phoenician god Melkarth burned himself on a funeral pyre. Then, having conquered death, Melkarth was transformed into an eagle and soared away from his pyre.

The association of the eagle with the sun, fire, light, and the Resurrection caused it to become an emblem of the Messiah. Christ, our supreme "fisher of men," was depicted as an eagle flying into the heavens with a fish in his claws. In the Song of Moses, God is portrayed as an eagle stirring up its nest of eaglets, teaching them to fly, and carrying them on its wings (Deu 32:11).

    Marryann:
I cheacked out the page, and the site many things raise flags of caution, I could find no statment of faith, from what I was able to gather the site deels with BESTIARIES, SYMBOLISM, AND SIMILITUDES,  bestiary I did not know so looked up here is what I came up with.

"bestiary" Britannica Concise Encyclopedia  from Encyclopędia Britannica Premium Service.
<http://www.britannica.com/ebc/article?eu=382466>
[Accessed June 7, 2004].

Medieval European work in verse or prose, often illustrated, consisting of a collection of stories, each based on a description of certain qualities of the subject, usually an animal or a plant.

The stories were allegories, used for moral and religious instruction and admonition. They ultimately were derived from the Greek Physiologus, a text compiled by an unknown author before the mid 2nd century AD. Many traditional attributes of real or mythical creatures derive from bestiaries, such as the phoenix's burning itself to be born again and the parental love of the pelican, which, believed to feed its young by gashing its own breast, became a symbol of Christ.

I won't say that it's cult based just remember it's symbolism, and allegories.
 Copied from, Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary

     Main Entry: al·le·go·ry
Pronunciation: 'a-l&-"gOr-E, -"gor-
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural -ries
Etymology: Middle English allegorie, from Latin allegoria, from Greek allEgoria, from allEgorein to speak figuratively, from allos other + -Egorein to speak publicly, from agora assembly -- more at ELSE, AGORA
1 : the expression by means of symbolic fictional figures and actions of truths or generalizations about human existence; also : an instance (as in a story or painting) of such expression
2 : a symbolic representation

HOW DOES AN EAGLE RENEW ITS YOUTH ...
It does not, remember they are talking symbolism, and early belives, "Orientals, Israelites, and early Christians believed eagles were able to restore their own youth every ten years by flying into the sun and then, after their wings had caught fire, diving three times into the water of the sea or a fountain. David made this eagle legend a symbol of the renewal of those who wait upon the LORD, and early Christians saw it as an analogy of the new life received in baptism (Isa 40:31; Psa 103:5)"  Again Its just Symbolism.
Others may be able to explain it better. I hope I helped

HI I received another explanation when I went to the forum
in Christianet.com .. they explained that an eagle sheds its
old feathers and gets new ones then becomes stronger.
It was said that this info came from a biology book.
Thanks to all who have answered me.  Unless I hear
differently I think I will accept that one from the biology
book and stay away from that other site where I got that other info.
You all have a great day and God Bless all who read this.
Hope all will continue to know. love and serve our Precious
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for ever and ever.  It is so
awesome to do so every single day of our lives knowing we
are so loved by Him, therefore we are in good hands, the BEST.
Thank you Forrest for your time to search for me.

Did you know that an eagle knows when a storm is approaching long before it breaks? The eagle will fly to some high spot and wait for the winds to come. When the storm hits, it sets its wings so that the wind will pick it up and lift it above the storm. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.

The eagle does not escape the storm. It simply uses the storm to lift it higher. It rises on the winds that bring the storm. When the storms of life come upon us - and all of us will experience them - we can rise above them by setting our minds and our belief toward God. The storms do not have to overcome us. We can allow God's power to lift us above them.

God enables us to ride the winds of the storm that bring sickness, tragedy, failure and disappointment in our lives. We can soar above the storm. Remember, it is not the burdens of life that weigh us down, it is how we handle them.

The Bible says, "Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles." Isaiah 40:31

Eagles are not restrained in any way.  They are like the lions in the sky.  They are strong and focused.  They can easily spot the snakes and pick them up easily and kill them.  When we are renewed, we are strengthened like the eagles.

Matthew 24:28.  For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

Luke 17:34.  I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
 35.  Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
 36.  Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
37.  And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.
