I loved the explanation for Pastor Black Eyed Peas !   As for me , I have a great love for animals !  Previously , I had kountrekritter, but when I signed up here , it let me have Kritter.  Plus I have learned animals are far more loving than people I have known !

Hello Kritter,

First, WELCOME!!!

I'm not a pastor, but there are many times that I wish I had been. I'm a retired and disabled police officer, but I'm also a professional grandpa.  Cheesy  I do love the LORD with all of my heart and hope that you enjoy the Christian fellowship here with us.

By the way, I also love animals. I have two very elderly dogs who give me unconditional love and a lot of enjoyment.

Love In Christ,
Tom

Colossians 2:2 NASB  that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together in love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in a true knowledge of God's mystery, that is, Christ Himself,

Hello Willowbirch,

It's great to see you on the forum.

I have both of my guard dogs watching after me right now. They appear to be asleep, but I know they are on duty.  Cheesy  I haven't been attacked by a single thing while they were on duty. The youngest one only has about half of his teeth left, so I hope that he doesn't have to defend me from something much more vicious than a parakeet.  Grin

Love In Christ,
Tom

ON FIRE FOR THE LORD!

Thanks Dreamweaver! That was sooooo cute!  My cat, "Talker" was a stray hanging around the neighborhood and one day I answered the door to let my mom in and the cat just jumped into my lap! (I'm in a wheelchair) The scrawny little kitten had my heart right then and there.  I knew by looking at her that she had been on the street for quite some time; she was obviously under nourished and dehydrated, so after two or three days I took her to the vet.  This baby had an upper respiratory infection, ear mites, and pink eye.  But worse than that, a blood test proved she also has feline leukemia.... my heart broke for her!  She obviously loved me and I had fallen for her too - so the doctor said that with optimum care and a good diet she can very well live up to five years.  I knew she deserved a chance at life!  So I walked out of the veterinary hospital with a plethora of prescription medicine and a very sickly kitten.   Well, fast forward one year - she's fat and spoiled and loving and beautiful and I'm soooo grateful to God for whatever time He allows for me and Talker.

Blessings -

Hi gracie21,

Welcome to Christians Unite. I think it's a beautiful name. The name comes from the word grace which means kindness,  beauty, pleasant or precious. So that means that you have a precious, beautiful name.

God's gift to us is called grace for this very reason .... it is a precious, beautiful gift. The most precious, beautiful gift of all.

I can't believe I havn't replied to this already.

Anyway, Smokey is the name of our dog. It seemed better than some variation on my real name, and it dosn't give away any personal info.
Besides with a name like smokey the dog, I can act in character sometimes.

WOOF!
