No! That's a very recent picture of me!  Angry  Cheesy

Ya, it's Homer. I'm not really horrified or disgusted!  Grin

I still say you deserve a medal for bravery beyond the call of duty though.

Eastbound and down 18 wheels A rolling.
We going to do what they say can't be done.
We got a long way to go, and a short time to get there.
I'm east bound, just watch old bandit run. Grin

Grin  All of this stuff is far too intellectual for my tastes. (Small Print: Yes, I'm kidding).

I couldn't find a re-run of the 3 Stooges, so I'm trying Home Alone 3. I don't watch many movies, but this one looks like fun. I'll let you know.

The last movie I went to see was The Passion of the Christ.
It was a emotional draining experience. When I think of how Mel Gibson presented the agony of what Christ did for us on the cross, I think of the horrible sins in the world that had to be covered.
I purchsed the movie, but I still can't bring myself watch it again.
Did anyone here see this movie? If so , what is your opinion?

God bless,

I did. I was not greatly impressed. Good cinematography, good acting, and he did a good job of showing Catholicism in a way Protestants can respect. However, I think, as a movie, it could have been WAY better. Jesus’ death gave us salvation, but his life taught us how to live our own. I think Mel should have done it like he did Braveheart: Starting off from when he was a Child, and working its way up to his death. That way, he could have should a LOT of Jesus’ teachings, giving a more rounded view of Jesus. This Catholic obsession with Death is sickening to me. People would have gotten more out of a professional actor reciting Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount then they ever would from a 90 minute snuff film!

I also do not like the attitude that so many Christians have that “If you don’t like the Passions, then your heart isn’t right!” The Passions in not the Bible, it is not infallible, James Caviezel is not Jesus, and Mel Gibson is a member of a cult that denies all post-Vatican II Catholicism, and claims all Protestants are going to hell. I really worry about the guy’s mental heath. Undecided

In short, it was visually well done, and well cast, but it could have been MUCH better!  2 out of 5

I promised I would let you know about Home Alone 3, and I forgot.

I had 10 paragraphs of information about the review, but I think that Tibby swiped it.  Grin

I give Home Alone 3 just a 2 1/2 out of 5. There were a few laughs, but I didn't think it was nearly as funny as Home Alone 1 and 2.

Just for the record, I gave Home Alone 1 a 4 and Home Alone 2 a 3 on the laugh meter. Keep in mind that I give 5's to several of the 3 Stooges Episodes.  Grin  It almost needs a good pie fight to get a 5.

If I'm in an intellectual mood, I watch The Little Rascals or Laurel and Hardy.  Grin

"Strategic Air Command" on "American Movie Classics" cable channel this AM. A great movie for viewing vintage 1950's air force aircraft and bases. Beautiful pictures of the B-36, B-47, Globemaster cargo carrier, and the KC-97 mid air refuel tanker.
Some great shots of these planes in everday movements of SACs practice missions back then.

If you like airplanes you will like this. The story is a typical Hollywood stock in file drama.
