I'd settle for something new that works and lets my wife do her job and me play my games and occassionally post here on the website without fear of constant crashing, fire, or explosion.

You can get a nice used MAC on Ebay.  Grin
May not be new, but it will work, won't constantly crash, won't catch fire, and I've never heard of one exploding. But best of all, it's impervious to the machinations of the Evil Empire run by Darth Gates.  Grin Grin Grin

I'd like a new Dell.  I'd like a new Gateway.  I'd settle for something new that works and lets my wife do her job and me play my games and occassionally post here on the website without fear of constant crashing, fire, or explosion.  I don't ask for much.  Really... Embarrassed Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry Cry

Yikes shhhhhh Gateway EEKKKKK!! Dell's Customer Service is Number 1.  I know, after a program messed up a partition in my hard-drive nothing would work anymore.  I had to dump my entire hard-drive and reload it.  I hadn't done this before and called Dell up and they walked me through what I needed to do over the telephone!!

Dell's are BMWs and Gateways are Volkswagons!!

Allinall,

Brother, I've been there, done that, and have the t-shirt for trying to use a computer that was hazardous material for over 3 years. I've got to know, is it bad enough for you to be wearing a helmet, eye protection, and a flak-jacket yet?   Cheesy  I know - it's really not funny. Mine eventually self-destructed completely. We were thinking about using a ROCK-TOP for a computer or an abacus, but a tax refund hit at just the right time. Brother, a way will be provided when the time is right.

Love In Christ,
Tom

But I like der Volkswagon!  BMW's are alright, but really, ya just can't beat a Bug!   Grin  Actually, I'd like a Dell meself, but would settle for a Gateway.  INHO they're the two best buys on the market.  However, the market is widening...

You gotta T-Shirt?  I want one of those!   Grin  As for the severity of the problem, no.  I'm not wearing a helmet, yet.  Really, it's not that bad.  And as long as you don't look directly at the screen, your eyes don't burn that much.  And the lead vest isn't that uncomfortable.  And I don't mind losing teeth and hair.  I figure that's coming sooner or later.  But I did want to ask you about bleeding eyes... Cheesy Grin

Yah.  We might be waiting for another tax check ourselves.  Either that or my wife let's me get a part-timer for a while to pay off some other bills and earn the money.  You only need around $300 half the time for a decent system these days.  Oh well.  God will provide.  It's that trust part I'm havin' to get used to...   Smiley
