Also I once heard that u can't pray unless u have a bible
I think thats the most absurd idea I've heard in ages.
The bible does reveal how, what, who, and when to pray according to God's will. So having a bible is helpful in this respect. Prayer should be in accordance to what God wants prayed to Him not what we want prayed to Him.
Also God does not hear the prayers of sinners, so the bible could also reveal to one how not to be a sinner and be washed clean in the blood of Christ so that God will hear the prayer of that one.
The bible or the word of God is very necessary for prayer.
Of course the bible teaches
about prayer, and sometimes it's useful to use prayers straight out of it, such as the psalms, but you don't need to physically have a bible there (or at all) to be able to pray, which is what I was responding to.
