Politically, morally, spiritually, the night is dark, the
Storm is raging and souls are perishing, but "God, who
commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined
in our hearts" (II Cor. 4:6). "...we are not of the night, nor
of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep as do others" (I Thes.
5:5,6).

There is no sin that can condemn a Justified person to hell. No person; not yourself; not even the Devil can charge you with anything once God declares you righteous. This was Paul's reasoning after making the statement in Romans 8:31;

"IF GOD BE FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US?"

"We need reminding much more than

we need instructing."

Ask the Lord to remind you

today of something you need to

remember to do to

strengthen your spiritual life.

Eternal life is knowing Christ. Your eternal life can begin right now if you make the choice, in the quietness of your own mind, to simply place your trust in the finished work of Christ. Why not settle the issue of where your soul will spend eternity today? Trust Christ, and he, solely by his grace, will forgive your sins and save your soul from hell.

When I call them radically churched, I’m not knocking the church. The church is God’s idea and is God’s way of reaching the world. But what we have made of the church and what we read in the New Testament are often two different realities. What I’m saying is that there is a difference between the radically churched and the radically changed- the changed meet Jesus and never recover!

When the Gentile jailor fell on his knees and asked: "What must I do to be saved?" Paul replied: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved" (Acts 16:30,31). This is God’s message for sinners today, for "we have redemption through [Christ’s] blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace" (Eph. 1:7).

Complaining reinforces your own unhappiness. Lord, when I speak, help me to say things that
are worth listening to and reinforce a joyful spirit.

Phil 2:3  Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

The modern American seldom pauses to give thanks for the simple blessings of life. One reason is that we are used to having so much. We simply assume that we will have all the good things of life. Another reason is that it hurts our pride to be grateful. We do not want to admit that God is the Provider of all good things. We are simply His stewards.

Being thankful requires humility and faith in God.
When we have these, we can be grateful.

Let a man set his heart only on doing the will of God and he is instantly free. No one can hinder him.
