Here is my understanding about the end times.All Christians will be raptured (caught up) to be with Jesus,the anti Christ will step into power.He will deceive all nations,He will force all people to receive a mark on his hand or forhead.Anyone who does not take the mark will be killed,He will make war with the Christians.The Christians who came to Jesus after the Rapture will be hunted down and killed for their faith.The anti Christ will appear as a man of peace.When Jesus return with his saints (Christians),He will Throw the anti Christ and satan in to the lake of fire.Then Jesus will judge all nation and all people.All people who received the mark or did not believe and love Jesus will also be thrown in the lake of fire.

Rapture (Caught up)

Matthew 24:40-41"Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.


1 Thessalonians 4:16-17"For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

Luke 21:36"Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man."


Anti Christ,lawlessness one or Beast

Daniel 7:21" As I watched, this horn was waging war against the saints and defeating them,

2 Thessalonians"The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders,

Matthew 24:24"For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible.

Revelation 13:16-18"He also forced everyone, small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name. This calls for wisdom. If anyone has insight, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is man's number. His number is 666.

Revelation 14:9-11"A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. Revelation 13:7"He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation.

Revelation 14:13"Then I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on."Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will follow them."

You might be asking yourself "But if the christians are caught up how would the saints be there that get killed by the anti christ. The christians are the saints so that means those who get killed are christians?"

After The Christians are caught up.People who knew the Bible and knew God but did not Believe in Him will finally see everything unfold just as the Bible said it would.Also people who look for anwsers of why Their Family and Friends disappaered will find them in the Bible or be tricked by the Anti christ lies.Few people will come to the Bible and follow christ.But those who do will be hunted by the world and the anti christ.Everyone will wear the anti christ mark or die,the people who refuse the mark cannot buy or sell and will be hunted down and killed.God will have two witnesses preach the good news God will protect them for 1,260 days.After that time the anti christ will slay the two witnesses.People from all nations will refuse them burial.After three and a half days they will rise.(To know more about Gods two witnesses please Read From Revelation 11:1-14)

Revelation 11:3"And i will give power to my two witnesses,and they will prophesy for 1,260 days,clothed in sackcloth."

Jesus returns

Titus 2:13"while we wait for the blessed hope—the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,

Revelation 21:4"He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Matthew 24:30"At that time the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and all the nations of the earth will mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky, with power and great glory.

I didn't do a detailed study of your post, but I would say that you and I are pretty close about the end of this Age of Grace with the Rapture of the CHURCH. the Tribulation Period, and the Second Coming of Christ. We've had some great Bible studies and discussions here on these topics, and we've had some others that went too far and hurt feelings or made folks mad. Many of us here love Bible studies and peaceful discussions of Bible Prophecy.

I really only speak for myself, but I think that most of us want to put our love of JESUS first in fellowship and discuss differences only in peace and Christian love. I say this because of a list of topics that could be called "hot button topics", and this would be one of those hot button topics. Some even call other Brothers and Sisters in Christ names over differences. I'm not hinting that you would do that, but we've been there before.

I mainly want to say that I look forward to your posts and our fellowship. If you look at some of the threads that Dreamweaver gave you links for, you will see that we've had some pretty detailed discussions on Bible Prophecy, and I'm almost sure there are more threads that aren't listed. It's a lot of work to study Bible Prophecy, and many of the participants spent years studying the topics in your post. Who knows, maybe we'll get another peaceful discussion going.

Hello Sister Reba,

Sister, I think that you did better than anyone in some of those hotter debates. I have mixed emotions about any debates between Brothers and Sisters in Christ that can be considered to be beyond warm. It's one thing if the participants are enjoying the discussion of differences, but it's quite another if feelings get hurt or people get angry. I've been in both kinds, and I've been guilty of going to far in some of those hot debates.

I know that the ultimate is peaceful discussions where everyone gets to learn something about the other person's point of view. It can also become a excellent Bible study. Even some of the warmer debates were enjoyed by many, but it's hard to know how many people got their feelings hurt or became angry. So, I have mixed emotions about debates among Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

Sister, I really don't remember you doing anything except being very reasonable in our discussions. If everyone involved could do the same, we could have some more great discussions.

Most Christians I know understand the term "antichrist" to be a discriptive term for satan. satan is known by many different names - the beast - the dragon - the devil - the antichrist etc.
When we read the book of Daniel or Revelations, we can determine that satan was created a perfect being by God - his name was lucifer - lucifer was so perfect and beautiful that he became narcistic, and believed he was equal to God - God tossed him out of His dwelling place and condemned him to one day, be tossed into an eternal lake of fire known as Hell.

Before that day comes, satan has done his evil best to turn us against God - to turn us against one another by causing devisions in our faith and to cause some of us to believe there is no God at all.

God wrote a set of instructions which include a brief and slightly detailed history of our creation and our existance. God gave us a set of rules to live by, the Ten Commandments - God gave us a way out of the destiny that awaits all sinners, through Jesus Christ - God gave us a detailed account of a time when satan - the antichrist - the beast - the dragon - the devil, will become the leader of the entire world, first, by becoming a charismatic leader who brings peace to a world which has never known true peace, then, as a false god who will lead his followers on a suicide mission in a war against Jesus Christ and His saints - God gives us details of these days and describes the events which acompany them including a time when satan (the antichrist) will cause all men, rich or poor, to bear his mark in order to buy or sell anything - this mark will identify his followers as his own, and all who bear this mark will be tossed into eternal hell-fire.

Call satan what you will - he will set up a false heavenly kingdom - God has warned us, and we may chose to believe it or we may choose to dismiss it, but at our own peril.
We either take God's word literal, or we take God's word as allagorical, and insert our own meanings - but we do so at our own peril.

The spin is to change the the wording of the scripture.
We have been over this many times. Christians can say what they wish, the scriptures say what they say. The word antichrist is used only 4 times and the word antichrists once. These are in the little books of John.  


Here is what the Scriptures say about the word antichrist:

1 John 2:18

18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

The scriptures are the authority.

We either take God's word literal, or we take God's word as allagorical, and insert our own meanings - but we do so at our own peril.

Literally in which books does God use the word antichrist........I am not inserting any meaning but questioning the fact that soo many folks do insert their own meanings.....as in this quote

The writer of Revelation  (God) did not choose to use the word antichrist. I believe He has the right to have His  word read the way He wrote it.

Allowing scripture to interprit scripture, would you say the following man in scripture agrees with the definitions in John to the fullest extent?

2Th 2:3  [....] and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,
2Th 2:4  who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.

Verse 4 Hits 1 John 2:22 squarely.  He Must deny Christ if he is claiming to be God himself  

Even though it never says "antichrist" in this passage, the man Paul speaks of sure does fit all criteria for pretty much all of Johns definition of an antichrist.    

Here's just one in Rev...

Rev 13:5  There was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him.
Rev 13:6  And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, that is, those who dwell in heaven.

Another in Daniel....

Dan 7:25  'He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time.

Again, none of these passages use the word Antichrist, but they do fit Johns definitions quite well.   Its not a stretch at all IMHO to call this person Antichrist.   No one in history has taken it to the level this person described in scripture will at that time.   He will lead the entire world into revolt against the most high making Him a "notible" antichrist if you will.
