Since religious leaders other than Christian are invited and participate in this then this definitely shows the anti-Christian bigotry present in this lawsuit.

ATLANTA, Aug. 13 (UPI) -- The American Civil Liberties Union has sued a Georgia county to stop Christian prayers at county commission meetings.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of five residents of Cobb County, which includes Atlanta. The plaintiffs, including some Christians, say prayers referring to Jesus Christ make them uncomfortable and send the message that members of other faiths are second-class citizens.

"Cobb County is a diverse county and citizens of all religions and non-religions should be welcome at government meetings," ACLU staff attorney Maggie Garrett told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "If the county chooses to begin its meetings with a legislative prayer, it should not show a bias for one particular faith over another."

Robert Quigley, a spokesman for the county government, said the commission selects leaders of county congregations to offer prayers at the start of meetings. He said rabbis, Muslim leaders and representatives of other religions have participated, along with Christian ministers.

I wonder what would happen, if a large group of Christians sued the ACLU. For say ........... 500 million dollars, for deinal of rights, or slanderious activities towards Christians..... Grin
