It's not what we think...it's what God says.

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (10) For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation

Salvation from what???
Hell?
Ourselves?
If from hell do you really want to goto heaven?
Why?
Or are you just stirring the pot?

You will feel a longing in your soul, an urge to commit yourself to the Lord that you cannot resist.  This is known as efficacious grace, the grace with which God moves upon His chosen ones and, through the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, brings them to salvation.  At that point, you will wish to repent, feeling heartfelt joy for your uniting with the Lord mixed with deep sorrow for your sins.

God will give you a peace like you have never experienced before.  A peace deep in your soul, a spiritual tranquility, a Sabbath rest that the world can never take from you.

Read the book of John to understand the deity of Christ.   Read the book of Romans where Paul expounds so well on salvation and what it means to be a Christian, living for God out of sheer joy at being one of His beloved children.

Most importantly:  Pray for the Lord to open your spiritual eyes to His truths.
