I celebrate Christmas as a way to give thanks to God.  Are the roots of the this Holiday from a pagan religion?  Yes.  But pagan's prayed before we did so therefore we should not pray?  God redeemed me so don't you think he can redeem a holiday.  Does not God take that which is meant for evil and make it for good?  What Father would not be pleased when his children honor him>

Do we honor God when we spend all our time shopping at Christmas and present Santa Claus to our children as the giver of all things good.  No.  We need to focus on what God has given to us as a gift...Jesus.

I created a way for my children when they were young to discover the real reason for Christmas.  I offer it for free to anyone who wants to visit my website at www.jesustreedecorations.com. and print out Christmas tree ornaments, that the children can color, and a book explaining the real reason of why we can, and should celebrate Christmas.  Not by showing the world what is wrong with the way they celebrate it by whats better about the way we celebrate it.  Merry Christmas.

Christmas is celebrated because of its being instituted by Pope Gregory around 325 AD for the church at Rome and its adherents.

Prior to that there was no Christmas.

Some thoughts on the subject.
