To our flash, changing the direction of a nation seems somewhat impossible. With all the other objects or ideals people worship outside of God, it's no wonder the thought os seeing an entire nation turn to God seems unlikely, especially when it appears godless men and women are running the country.

Wowever, we must remeber that whoever is in authority over us is placed there by God.

"It is He who changes the times and the epochs; He removes kings and establishes lings; He gives wisdom to wise men and knowledge to men pf unstanding" (Daniel 2:21). Kings, mayors, governors, senators-they're all placed in their postions of authority by God. And they can be removed by God just as easily.

And through our prayers-contrite and himble-God can turn a nation of rebels into a nation of disciples. "If....My people who called ny My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear them from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land" (2Chronicles 7:14).

Do you want to see God move in our nations and other nations?

Get on your knees and make the biggest difference you can possibly make as a Christian; ask God to the nations to Him.

Obviously I can see why you say that Bro Love, considering the context. In no way do I endorse the "british Israeliism" doctrines or anyhing similar, which claim promises of God for Israel and think we are descendants of tribes etc....

However, the Old Testament reveals God's character and attitude toward things. I think the same principles apply today. Israels history is for us to learn from.

Talmadge,

These are powerful verses.  They remind me of Ps 72:19 where David cried out that God would fill the whole earth with His glory.

Talmadge, some will pray as you instruct.  But I'm wondering, can you add some more verses that you think are important to pray about?  I noticed you and another were discussing the meaning of 2 Chron 7:14.  What are some verses that we can know are principally accurate to pray for the nations?

Thank you, selahjoy*
