Seems odd they would be getting everything else ready if they were missing an item of such importance.  I'm just guessing they probably know more than they are telling about that.

There is an archaeological dig going on in the Holy Land right now, and the lead archaeologists claims he is "certain" that he has found the hiding place of the Ark by following clues from the Bible.

One of the more astonishing events surrounding the Temple is a clay pot that was discovered not too long ago which contained a very specific oil, which was extracted from a now extinct tree. The oil was, and is essential for use in the Temple - somewhat comparable to the blood from a red heifer. The oil was lost for over two thousand years before being discovered in the pot. The oil was hardened after sitting for two millennia, but it was reconstituted, and is ready for use...coincidence?...I think not!

It's interesting that the Jews are silently keeping to themselves about rebuilding the temple, but this is a prophecy in the process of being fulfilled. Jesus made reference to the abomination of desolation that Daniel the prophet spoke about in Daniel 12:11. Daniel speaks about this abomination occuring in the Temple. He is referring to the abomination that Antiochus Epiphanes performed during his reign. This forshadows the act of the Antichrist 3 1/2 years after the Tribulation period begins. or as the scriptures say:

11"And from the time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.

This alludes to a new Holy Temple that will rest once again on the Holy Mount. ANywho...just a few thoughts...the teacher's leaving me so i gotta leave. God Bless and I hope this provokes more discussion.

Joshua

So maybe the talk of peace in the middle east is here afterall.  Though we know that the peace will not be a true one but a sign of other things to come.   Lips Sealed

Joshua

The "abomination of desolation" means "the turning away from God, and the exaltation of the beast".

This happens within the mighty nation "Babylon" in the last days.

It means that the "turning from God, and exaltation of the beast" will render Babylon desolate.

Daniel says that the "exaltation of the beast" will commence after the "cutting off of Christ" and the "taking away of the daily sacrifice".

It says in Dan.12:11 that, 1,290 days "after" the daily sacrifice is taken away, all the power of the beast will be in place; or set up.

To understand these scriptures, and who the beast is, one must first determine where Babylon is, and what is meant by "the daily sacrifice".

The problem you have here is one of hermeneutics. You need to use other scripture to help you understand scripture. When it talks about the "daily sacrifices," it is talking about the daily sacrifices offered by the levitical priests according to the Torah. When scripture refers to Babylon, it is referring to the geographical location called by that name. Can you find any other place in scripture when it refers to some geographical location but really means another? I can't think of one.

The problem with allegorizing scripture this way is that it leaves interpretation of scripture entirely up to traditions of men.

Take care,
