If you would like to make this yummy homemade treat for the little ones, (or with them) and dont know how, the basic recipe is as easy as 1,2,3!

6 small apples
1 package caramels (14 oz.) (I sometimes add a bit of cinnamon)
6 popsicle sticks

Wash and dry the apples. Twist off the stems and push popsicle sticks half way onto the apples where the stems used to be.
Melt the caramels in the microwave (keep warm by placing  bowl in another bowl of hot water if increasing the recipe)
Dip apples in the melted caramel to coat, set on waxed paper to cool.

Chocolate sprinkles, or crushed nuts, sprinkled on while these are cooling add a special touch.

HAVE FUN!  Cheesy

yes I use the individually wrapped caramels  Patzt. I`ve tasted different variations of this recipe, some even make thier own caramel dip from scratch, but this recipe is still my  favorite.   The apples I use are the granny smith green ones, because they are crisper, but any brand will do.  Cheesy
