It hurt me. This gorgeous little creature, 11 months old. Called Charlotte. She came from England, and was incredibly ill. Heart, Kidney, brain defects. Blind and Deaf. And now their parents have lost an appeal to keep her alive when she next goes.

What would you do if you knew you were going to have a child who was incredible pain?

These parents were so devoted, it brought a tear to my eye..

You love the child as much as you can. He/she will feel the love you give. everyone has some kind of pain every day. Allowing God to help, is a persons choice. I being a Christian, I allow God to run my life. God knows what he is doing I know is I trust God with my life. I would die for God, if he wanted me to die for him.

God of mercy and life. Grant both mercy and grace to this little one and her parents.

I'm a bit confused.  Are the parents trying to keep her alive through artificial means?  Are they requesting the hospital resuscitate her when one of her organs fail and she "dies"?  Why would they want to continually bring her back "when she next goes" if they love her?

Personally i think the parents are wrong and were being selfish. Of course losing a child is one of the worst things that could happen to you and i can't imagine how it must feel, buts its just not right to keep your child alive when they have no chance of survival and are in constant pain

If there is something that the docters could do for the child to keep him/her alive, then I say go for it. If the parents can't cope with the problems their child will have, then they can put him/her up for adoption.
On the other hand however, if it is too much for the child, and it's life is taken' so soon, let the parents know that the child will be with God. And he/she searved it's purpose for what ever God intended!!!
