HOW TO KNOW YOU HAVE BEEN THROUGH TOO MANY HURRICANES:

(1) You find you really can function after twenty seven hours without sleep.

(2) You don't even bother to call the phone company, the cable company, the power company anymore. They will show up whenever.

(3) You fail to notice anymore that the windows are boarded up. Worse, you kind of like it.

(4) Cold showers and peanut butter sandwiches seem normal now.

(5) One downed tree looks like all of the other downed trees.

(6) Driving over downed power lines is no longer scary.

(7) Six lane intersections with no traffic light- only a little scary.

(Cool Debris piled up at the curb so high you cannot see over it is a topic for neighborhood conversation. Which came from Charley, which came from Frances and which from Jeanne?

(9) You now understand more than you ever wanted to about barometric pressure and power grids.

(10) With sustained winds of eighty miles an hour howling outside and the rain blowing sideways against the house, the cats demand to be fed on time.

Almost funny -- if it wasn't so true!  Lips Sealed

Florida's getting the hurricanes and the rest of us get the wind, rain, tornadoes, and power loss. Along with the downed trees.... Tongue

I know. Sadly, I know. That's what keeps it from being really funny!  Lips Sealed
