Anyone ever seen "Exodus", the 1963 film of Leon Uris's epic novel by the same name, about Holocaust Jews' seeking to return to a new homeland in Palestine, right after World War II? With Paul Newman, Eva Marie Saint, Hugh Griffith...?

I am not sure, sorry.... I have never seen this film, I think. I was three in 1963, so I might have seen it. I cannot remember right now.  Where I get my hair trimmed, will it's been awhile now, my hair dresser, she is from Germany and so is her 96 year old mother. They Lived through the Holocaust there, they do not talk about it much. I understand them not wanting to talk about it to! God Loves You! \o/ |

I don't think I saw "Exodus" either. The holocaust was a very awful and sad thing. I saw a movie called Shindler's List (forgive the spelling). It was also about the Holocaust.

Yes it is a great movie, you feel as if you are there. When the Brits turn the ship around, when they find a Arab friend hung. One of the best movies I have seen. It was so good I have a copy of it on VHS. |

Yes, Music4, Schindler's is on my list too, to see. 'Never seen it yet.
Hmm, that's interesting, MsGuided, a 96 year old mother too. So that means she was in her early thirties, then.
Yes, that's how it is in the movie, they don't want to talk about it. Yes, I can understand that for sure.
The movie poses some interesting questions--mainly the tension between two Jewish activist factions: One, which wants friendship with the Arabs, a peaceful coexistance, known as "Hagana", the other, know as "Irgun, or Irgune" believes in attacking every obstacle. Each faction is headed up by one of two brothers, who haven't spoken to each other in years.
