Do you follow the news in Israel. Once we have grasped that Israel is at the center of God's dealings with mankind we have the key to understanding the direction of world affairs today. Through the prophecies of Scripture we can discern a clear pattern in current events.
Luke 21:24 "They shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled."
In these words the Lord summed up many Old Testament prophecies which were to come true in horrific detail. For example, in the book of Deuteronomy, written before Israel entered the land of Palestine 1500 years before Christ, it was predicted of the Jews that:

28:64,65 "The LORD shall scatter thee among all people . . . and among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest."

And yet in all these prophecies, as in the word of Jesus, there was hope. Jerusalem would be trodden down by the Gentiles "until . . ." God has never intended to cast off the Jews for ever. Through the prophet Jeremiah He said:

Jeremiah 30:11 "Though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee."

The Apostle Paul warned the Gentiles to beware of the conceit which said that the Jews were finished and that God was now only interested in Gentiles. In Romans chapter 11 he asks: "Hath God cast away his people?" and then answers, "in no way". He goes on to repeat the words used by the Lord Jesus himself:

Romans 11:25 "For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in."

In other words, God would act to save and restore the Jews when the time was right. And when that happened salvation would come to all God's people. That time will come when Jesus Christ returns to earth to set up God's Kingdom. Bible students do not see in the present State of Israel a people who are ready for the return of Christ. Jews have returned to the Land largely in unbelief, and they still consistently reject Jesus Christ as the Son of God. They do not recognize that their desire for a national home is part of a Divine timetable which will culminate in the establishment of the Kingdom - where people from all nations who worship God, Gentiles as well as Jews, will live and reign with Christ.

I voted 'yes' - I keep up with Hal Lindsey's website http://www.hallindseyoracle.com which keeps a constant watch on Israel...

Our future in the Lord is tied directly to Israel - no doubt about it...

I don't follow it. Mainly because I've never really had the time or the interest. But I do think it's more than a coincedence that practically ever Middle Eastern country hates Israel.

I'm sure if you followed everything in Israel very closely you would probably find a lot of interesting things that are connected very closely to Biblical prophecy.

I follow the happenings in Israel as I follow the news of the other areas of the world. Usually whatever is reported through the various outlets for informing.

I find it interesting that at times Israel is guilty of many of the same aggressive and abusive actions and tactics that some of them suffered under Nazi Germany. Then at times they appear to be Godless and atheistic. It is hard to conceive anything, but the word of God, that they could ever be grafted back into the tree without repenting and coming to Christ. It would seem to be a contradiction of God's word in Paul's letter to  the Romans.

In the Spirit of His Love,

Well ollie you do have different groups of Jewish in Israel. The group I pay attention to is, the Messiahic Jews. They are the ones who believe, Christ is the Messiah.
