I used to teach (moreso baby sitting) 2-3 year-old children from my church, and they always watched Veggie Tales. Then, I grew fond of the videos.
They are very good for little children and good for us. It teaches us to "Love your neighbor," "Serve Others,"...

Veggie Tales are a joke in our house...if there was a sad/scary movie on the television, the littlest says, "We need to watch Veggie Tales now". Its simple, funny, and not too serious. Talking vegetables. Heehee. I personally don't like all their shows, especially the one on Esther. Esther didn't even LOOK like a veggie, just a green lady with a head and no arms. I think they could have made an Esther movie that was child-friendly and funny, without making it too ridiculous; the jewish vegetables were threatened with eternal tickling? Wait a minute! In "The chocolate factory", Bob, Larry and Junior were threatened with real fire! Big, scary fire! But Esther had to save her people from tickling?

I love VeggieTales! They are so cute and funny, and the songs are fun and enjoyable! I also take their tapes with me whenever I go to baby-sit. The kids love it! Thanks for the link KristiAnn and Sincereheart. They are awesome! Posted by: Willowbirch Posted on: July 23, 2004, 11:26:55 AM I personally don't like all their shows, especially the one on Esther. I didn't like Ester as much as the others either, but it did have a good message and made it fun for the kids! I have a feeling they are running out of ideas for vegetables, so they may have had to make someone up for Ester's character. Though seriously sometimes I have no idea what kind of vegetable is put on my plate, so you just never know. Maybe she's one of those unknown yeggies

Faith means being sure of the things we hope for and knowing that something is real even if we do not see it. Hebrews 11:1 The shortest distance between a problem and a solution is the distance between your knees and the floor. The one who kneels to the Lord can stand up to anything.

But Esther had to save her people from tickling? Exactly! However, I do love the song, "God is Bigger than the Boogeyman"! I can listen to it to get the message across to my littlest one - but the truth is; I like it and need the reminder from time to time!

*GASP* I'm stunned! You've heard of apple pie and baseball, haven't you? Veggie Tales are..... well, vegetables that tell stories from the Bible and stories with a Christian view. Talking vegetables with a Message? http://www.bigidea.com/

Talking vegetables. Heehee. Ooo! Ooo! I happen to BE that littlest one! I get to lay claim to the cuteness factor!! BTW, Let's each post which veggie we think we are: I'm Larry the cucumber.

Nothing much is on it outside of a good movie once in a while.
