Greetings from Central California!
Being the nkob, I'd like to introduce myself, I am a 60+ Bible teacher with more than 30 years in ministry.  We are non-denominational, though I was saved in a Charismatic Baptist Chuch (in those days a rare scarce item).  Graduate of Azusa Pacific (then College) Univ.  My wife and I are involved with a local Church (and love what we do), which btw is non-denominational but with a slight A.G. flavor.  We believe that it makes no difference what the sign over the door says, it is what you personally do with Jesus Christ that counts.  If He is L-rd and Savior in your life we have much to talk about, if not we still have a lot to talk about.
Blessings,
David

Hi "Kid"

Welcome. It sounds as if you are going to have some very good things to relate to us.

Looking forward to reading your thoughts.

:)Welcome David, Hope you will be sharing with us as I am sure we will all appreciate your input for the Lord.  There are some real scholarly folks here and some just plain good guys who love God.  Not everyone here interprets chapter and verse the same way but we all learn from each other anyway.  As you say it is not the sign above the door but the one in our hearts that counts.

Wink Thank you all for the warm welcome.  I would have answered sooner but, I'm teaching a small group of teenagers the basics of Hermeneutics.  Sounds dry but they are loving it, so far.  It is BTW my major area in my M.A. level work in the 1970's at Azusa Pacific in So. California.  I think they are enjoying it as much as I am.  It is really great to see 15 to 17 year olds taking six weeks of
their summer to be in "school" and working around the church. Praise the L-rd!  They are also involved in street Evangelism in our local area.  Please hold them up in prayer.
Blessings,
David

Please pray for the project.  It is "Operation City Reach"  it involves training on sveral levels, mine is leaning to study scripture and be able to pull out truth and share it with others to the point of preparing a short message and delivering to.  Our Pastor is traning them in evangelism and later this simmer they will with another group of teens doing actual street evangelism in another city.  I'll begin a thread about the operation in the next week or two.
Blessings,
