Maybe I should have introduced myself before jumping in with both feet in debating with everyone.
My name is Roberta. I was born and raised as an orphan in SC until I was adopted into a Navy family at the age of 8. I'm 39, Christian, wife, homeschool mom and Wal*Mart Cashier/Service Desk Associate.
My husband was laid off and has not been able to find employment for the last 14 months. The Lord has been good to us and has always provided for us.
I was raised a Lutheran. I know this only because one day I asked my parents what religion we were and they said we were Lutheran. I don't know why they thought we were Lutheran because Dad was an atheist and Mom followed the teachings of EST and other cults. They have been divorced since I was 12. Dad is now an agnostic and Mom is an SDA.
I'm am neither a Calvinist, Arminian or Wesleyan. I really don't think that it is important to follow any of those doctrines as long as I keep my focus on Christ. However, I do love learning about our early church fathers, that is why I ask questions about them.
I love reading and participating in debate threads so that I can learn.
I have a very dry sense of humor which unintentionally offends people at times, especially if I'm disagreeing with them in a debate thread. I say things to hopefully lighten the mood and sometimes people get upset and the mood doesn't get lightened at all.
I look forward to getting to know you all!
BTW- if you didn't notice, I can be very long-winded.

Oklahoma Howdy to Justme, I loved your introduction. I think you are going to fit in with us just fine. As you can see, we don't have any other folks here who have a dry sense of humor, like to debate, or be long-winded from time to time. It sounds like your life has been a challenge, yet you sound positive and say that you keep your focus on Christ. I don't think that you can lose if you keep your focus on Jesus Christ. I'll be praying for you and your family. Love In Christ, Tom

Yes, we need a few more of those kind of folks in stock; we wouldn't want to become too perfect. People would think we're a cult. Welcome!

Nice to have You here in this melting pot forum of differing similarities as well as parallel mindsets. As long as you were equiped with a "gabulator", you might as well put it to good use.

Hi NateyCakes and Palmoni. I don't think I've heard the term "gabulator" before. LOL!
